Prima mixed media doll stamp

I went to Ally Pally, the Big Stamp Show last weekend.  Had a great time looking at all the different stalls and looking at all the various card samples.  Its great for inspiration and finding out whats new in the craft world.  I bought (amongst other things!) the Prima doll stamp.  I thought I would create something christmas themed and something more general, here is the christmas one;

With this tag I stamped some snowflakes and embossed using clear embossing powder, I then applied fired brick, red barn and black soot distress inks.  I then over stamped using various christmas themed stamps.  I added my holly, snowflakes and prima doll.  I had stamped the prima doll separately and coloured using promarkers.  I stamped the top and dress onto some christmas papers and added them to  the prima doll.

I also made a haberdashery themed tag:

Thanks for looking.

Metallic Wall Hanging

I have created another wall hanging using the 'I can fly' stamp by Doo Lally Pip.  I wanted to do another wall hanging using the same range of stamps but with a different look so I decided to stick to metallic colours.  The base board is copper paint.  I then used gold for the next layer and over stamped with flowers using a mixture of gold, silver, and copper.

Embellishments

The flower is a tin foil pie case run through a flower die then coloured using alcohol inks.  The corners are heated embossing powder (gold/copper) poured onto a heat mat and stamped into.  Once cooled down finish with some metallic perfect pearls.  Whilst still warmish I cut to fit the corners.

Out and About

Going to Enfield Town Show today with my two daughters and husband.  This show is wonderful with lots to see (and eat!) There are various crafts on display, flower arrangements, cake competitions, the veg tent as well as stalls and various displays (dancing, motorbikes etc etc).  I try and remember my camera as I always find inspiration for my own projects from all sorts of sources.  It doesn't always have to be other card projects I might just like the colour scheme of one of the flower arrangements or even the veg!  Who knows?

Thanks to Ali Craft for publishing my Doo Lally Pip projects.  Much appreciated.  I can't wait to visit there stall at Ally Pally in September.

Doo Lally Pip Wall Hanging

Whilst on holiday in beautiful, sunny Cornwall this summer, my family and I found a arts and crafts shop.  Amongst all the goodies was some mount board cut offs.  I bought some for £1! What a bargain.  When I got home I wanted to make sure that I used some of them as it so easy to buy things and leave them in your craft stash untouched.  Therefore the idea for a wall hanging popped into my head.

And here is the wall hanging I created using Gwendoline from the Doo Lally Pip stamp collection....

I started with one dark piece of mount board and one smaller piece of mount board. I sprayed them both with dylusions ink spray (calypso teal and cherry pie)

Finish the mount board with distress ink (peacock feathers and fired brick). On the darker mount board Stamp the corners using flitter glu and gilding flakes.

I then stamped 'Gwendoline' and coloured the image with promarkers.

I then mounted up all my pieces adding some pink ribbon, flowers (die cut and coloured with the distress inks), bird charm, butterfly (previously an old hairclip!) and stamped the word 'DREAM'.

I hole punched the top and tied in some ribbon........FINISHED!

All this is new to me!

Hi, my name is Lisa and I make my own cards and am passionate about papercraft.  I particularly like stamping. It allows you to make you own background paper and main images for your cards and papercraft projects.

I would like to share some of my efforts on this blog.

My latest purchase was two sets of Doo Lally Pip stamps which I bought from Ali-Craft (www.ali-craft.co.uk).

These stamps are simply gorgeous.
